Artist Bio: Hallie Watson
Watson has studied painting at both Mount Allison University and the Banff Centre. She has pursued a career as a painter for over twenty years since graduation, first in Southern Ontario, and latterly in Nova Scotia. She is an avid gardener and has one of the best-known flower gardens in Halifax. Hallie’s work has been exhibited widely in Ontario, and she has an increasing reputation in Halifax, especially for her brilliant use of colour to depict the everyday subjects that she loves to paint.
