Artist Bio: Charles E.Hannaford, RBA (1863-1955)
Charles E. Hannaford was a well-known British watercolour painter known for his paintings of scenes in Devon, Yorkshire, Cornwall, and the Scottish Highlands. Hannaford was educated in Paris, under Stanhope Forbes. His exhibitions included the Royal Academy, the Royal Cambrian Academy, and the Royal Society of Painters in Watercolour.
Hannaford’s paintings were a favorite of King George V. Hannaford had a significant following in Canada, as a result of the activities of his agent, who traveled across the country every year selling Hannaford’s work.
