If you are self-employed, the Canada Revenue Agency’s regulations make leasing an attractive alternative to immediate purchase. As with any other lease, the leasing costs may be written off as an expense (as long as the artwork leased is Canadian). Leases are usually for a minimum of 12 months to a maximum of 60 months.
