Artist Bio: Albert Lee
Albert Lee started his career in 1969 as a yearbook editor and high school paper photographer at Queen Elizabeth High School.
Over the past 45 years, he has worked as a photographer in Southeast Asia, New York City, and Toronto, as well as covering the Atlantic Provinces for numerous international, national and regional publications and clients. Albert was among the first western journalists invited by the government of China to officially tour China on assignment for the Toronto Star in 1985.
Albert Lee has two books; Destination Nova Scotia and Halifax: Sights of the City, published by Nimbus. Besides Lee’s numerous photographic projects, he is also a Community Historian and Research Associate at Gorsebrook Institute for Atlantic Canada Studies, Saint Mary’s University.
