Artist Bio: Richard Davis

Richard Davis was born in Middleton, New York in 1947, and studied at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts. He immigrated to Canada in 1968 and currently resides near LaHave, Nova Scotia.

Davis is known for his photo-realist serigraphs and paintings in acrylic and egg tempera. Davis’ serigraphs include up to forty-nine colours, and his craftsmanship demonstrates a meticulous fidelity to surface textures and colours.

Richard’s work is in collections in the United States and Canada and has been the subject of solo and group exhibitions worldwide. He is represented in the United States by the Brooklyn Museum, NY, and in Canada by the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia, NS, the Vancouver Art Gallery, BC and Acadia University, Wolfville, NS. His work is also in various corporate, public, and private collections in North America.
