Artist Bio: Willem Verhulst
Willem Verhulst was born in the Netherlands. He came to Canada as a child and was raised and educated in this country, he studied at the Ontario College of Art, at the University of Guelph (BA, 1972) and at the University of Toronto (Bed, 1976). Willem is attracted to the landscapes of Nova Scotia, and his pastoral paintings of the Annapolis Valley capture the lush beauty of that area. He is also known for his paintings of horses in working harness.
