Artist Bio: Anne Meredith Barry
Anne Meredith Barry was a noted painter and printmaker with a national reputation. She was born in Toronto, and studied at the Ontario School of Art with Carl Schaefer. Later, she studied with Nicolas Hornyansky. Her work was influenced by Japanese art, and also by Matisse. Barry’s work is represented in many important public and private collections in Canada, and there is an attractive secondary market for both her paintings and her graphics.
